NMR Fingerprint Comparison of Cultivated Sideritis spp. from Cyprus

Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (MAPs) play an essential role in global health systems, since more than 80% of population use natural products primary healthcare. Given that the herbal medicines is exponentially increasing, as well many MAPs are introduced into market, cultivation practices applied to produce high quality standardized plant raw materials. Thus, present study focuses on chemical fingerprints two cultivated Sideritis species. In Cyprus, cypria Post S. perfoliata L. subsp. widely used traditional medicine. To date, there no research work presenting comparative profiling between aforesaid species using NMR methods. this study, 1D 2D experiments were compare these originated from conventional practices. Iridoids (ajugol, monomelittoside, melittoside) one flavone (4′-methyl-isoscutellarein 7-O-[6‴-O-acetyl]-β-D-allosyl(1→2)glucoside) infusion perfoliata. The phenylethanoid glycoside, acteoside, was detected both samples. phytochemical profiles similar those species, indicating positive impact MAPs.
